IT and technology advisory

Some technical decisions are cheap to change later. Others set your cost base and hiring profile for years. This is for the second kind.

What you get

  • Architecture and infrastructure review with a written recommendation
  • Build-versus-buy analysis with the operating costs of both
  • Vendor and platform selection, including the questions to ask that vendors dislike
  • Technical due diligence on a codebase you are about to acquire or invest in
  • A named engineer available for the follow-up questions, not just the report

When this isn’t the right fit

  • Decisions already made that need external validation. We will probably give you the wrong answer.
  • Ongoing fractional-CTO cover — that is a different engagement, and often a different person.

Questions

About it and technology advisory

Do you recommend your own delivery services in the report?

If the honest answer is that you should build something, the report says so — but the recommendation and the quote are separate documents, and you are under no obligation to use us for either.

How quickly can you turn around due diligence?

A focused codebase review is usually one to two weeks depending on size and access. Tell us the deadline on the call.
