Four things we do differently
Not values. Things you can hold us to, and check against how the engagement actually goes.
We tell you when not to build it
The most useful thing we have said to some clients is that the thing they asked for would not solve their problem. It costs us the engagement and saves them a great deal more. If we think you should spend the money elsewhere, that is what the first call will tell you.
The code is yours from the first commit
We work in your repository, not ours, and the IP transfers on payment. There is never a moment where the work is hostage to the relationship — which means the relationship has to be worth keeping on its own merits.
Fixed price, agreed before anything starts
Scope, timeline and cost in writing up front. Changes go through a written change order. You will never receive an invoice you were not expecting.
We would rather end early than deliver badly
Retainers exit on thirty days' notice, no penalty. If it is not working in the first month, we would both rather know in the first month.
Where we are
Lagos, working your hours
Our engineers are in Lagos, Nigeria. West Africa Time is UTC+1, which is a convenient place to sit: a full working day of overlap with Europe, the UK and Africa, a wide afternoon window with the Americas, and a morning window with the Gulf and South Asia. We run standups on your calendar, not ours.
Software engagements are remote worldwide. Work with a physical component — network and infrastructure design — needs people on site, so that is Nigeria-based in practice.
