Custom software development

Most agencies hand back a prototype and call it an MVP. We deploy a product your customers can use and your team can maintain — with the infrastructure, tests and documentation that makes the second release as fast as the first.

Best for
Funded startups with a validated idea and no engineering team yet.
Typical
8–12 weeks, fixed scope

What you get

  • Discovery and scoping, ending in a written specification you own
  • Web application, API and database, built to your requirements
  • Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and environment setup
  • Automated tests covering the paths that would cost you money if they broke
  • Weekly demos against working software, in your repository
  • Documentation, runbooks and a walkthrough with whoever takes it on

When this isn’t the right fit

  • Ideas that have not been validated with anyone who would pay for them. Build it yourself in no-code first, then come back.
  • Projects that need to start next week. Our lead time is usually 2–4 weeks.
  • Anyone looking for the cheapest possible quote. We are not it, and we will say so on the call.

Questions

About custom software development

What if the scope changes mid-build?

It usually does. Changes go through a written change order with a revised price and date before any work starts, so the number never moves without you agreeing to it first.

What stack do you build in?

Typically TypeScript across the board — React or Next.js on the front end, Node on the back — with Postgres and a managed cloud platform. We will use something else if your team already runs it; the goal is a codebase you can hire for, not one we enjoyed writing.

Do we get the code if we stop?

Yes, unconditionally. It is in your repository from the first commit and the IP is yours on payment for work completed.
